Mr. Kazuhisa Kanda joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) in the year of 1991 and started his career in the manufacturing department in MHI Nagasaki Shipyard and Machinery Works. From 1991 to 2014, he was in charge of the production of many turbo-machines, as well as steam turbines, and had experience in production management, production engineering, and factory management. He was also involved in structural reforms, including the consolidation of several MHI factories.
In 2014, he joined L&T-MHI Power Turbine Generators Private Limited as a Senior Consultant for manufacturing of steam turbines and worked at Hazira, Surat, Gujarat in India for approximately 2 years. In 2016, he returned to MHI Nagasaki, Japan from India.
In 2019, he was appointed as General Manager of Nagasaki Turbo-Machine Manufacturing Department. In 2021, he was appointed Deputy Senior General Manager of Steam Power Maintenance Innovation (SPMI) Business Division.
He holds a Bachelor of Metallurgy from Kyushu University, Japan.
He was appointed as Chief Operating Officer & Whole-time Director of L&T-MHI Power Turbine Generators Private Limited on 17 January 2024.
